Over the last couple of weeks firefox stops working and "Firefox not responding" comes up and if I check the box that says "Close program" or "wait for Firefox to close program" nothing happens. I have tried all the suggested ways of solving the problem but nothing works. To get the computer to work again I have to press ctrl alt delete together to be able to switch user or log out

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).
