Are you using a web based email service? How are you signing in to that email account?

In Firefox you can only place a link to a website on the Bookmarks Toolbar, so a possibility is to bookmark the log in page of the email provider.

In Firefox you can only place a link to a website on the Bookmarks Toolbar, so a possibility is to bookmark the log in page of the email provider.
