I have a Windows XP PC and today I started to receive an error message "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc000001d). Click OK to terminate the application. I have seen some possible solutions in the mozilla support forum but I can't access the internet on that computer to download files. Is there a way to download files on another computer and transfer them to the affected computer? l

Using another computer, Download Firefox Full Version For All languages And Systems onto a thumb drive. After, plug the thumb into your system. http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, when I ran the setup I received following message. "Sorry, Firefox can't be installed. This version of Firefox requires Microsoft Windows 7 or newer and a processor with SSE2 support. Please check the OK button for additional information." The OK button returned "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc000001d). Click on OK to terminate the application.

Is there an older version of Firefox which will work with my Windows XP PC?

How would I get a copy?

As of Firefox 53 in March 2017, WinXP and Vista won't be supported any longer. http://www.ghacks.net/2016/09/27/firefox-53-no-support-for-windows-xp-or-vista/

You can install the Firefox ESR 52 version which will get security updates into early 2018, to get "more time" using Firefox.
