When I reply to a mail message, I can't figure out how to add another recipient. In outlook you just put a semi colon between names but this doesn't seem to work in Thunderbird.

How many address boxes do you see? Just click on the next empty one and add it there. Or put the cursor in one and press return, which will advance the cursor to the next box, creating a new one for you if necessary. Note that the box will scroll if it needs to, leaving some users thinking that it has removed previously entered addresses.

The new entry will copy the To/Cc/Bcc setting from the previous entry. You can click on this to change it to suit you.

BTW, how do you add an addressee? I type, and the auto complete system suggests matching names from the Address Book. But some users like to pick from a list. The F9 key will display a compact Address Book at the left hand side of the Compose window, which has "Add to..." buttons which neatly sidestep the issue by inserting the addresses for you, creating new address boxes as needed and setting the To/Cc/Bcc in passing.
