Thunderbird opens just like you closed it. If your preferences are not sticking you have something modifying your prefs.js file. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Prefs.js_file

Software like CCleaner is known to do this and worse.

Thunderbird opens just like you closed it. If your preferences are not sticking you have something modifying your prefs.js file. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Prefs.js_file
