How do I get rid of "DropBox" in front of my emiail address i.e. Dropboxdsturdy@shaw.ca?
When I send an email to contacts, my address comes out as above. People are wary of opening emails with unusual addresses.

open Thunderbird the list of folders (inbox, sent etc) on the left is the folder pane.

the question is is that your email address, in which case you can not change it. Or your display name. Right click the account in the folder pane and select settings. click on the account name in the account settings dialog that opens and check the display name is set as you want.

This has been happening only in the last while. What is the folder pane?
