How do I eliminate ALL push notifications?

more options

I don't want to stop push notifications for any single URL, I want it GONE from my browser entirely.

Why would you force this on users without a simple way to turn it off? Doesn't the word PUSH give you an idea about how intrusive it is?

1.Visit about:config copy/paste into Address Bar then Enter and accept.

2. Find the preference dom.webnotifications.enabled and change its value to false. Copy/Paste into the search bar in about:config and once found double click to change to false.

3. Done.

From now on, no website will request you to show notifications in Firefox browser, including those related to desktop.

You may want to reinstall your Video Card Drivers as I do see some errors there. As you know is discontinued put page still has last driver there : https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/81500/Intel-HD-Graphics-3000

You can look at these preferences as well on the about:config page:

  • dom.push.enabled (toggle to false to disable Push)
  • dom.push.serverURL (set to empty String value to prevent contacting the Push server)

Bear in mind that websites sometimes show their own little enticements to accept notifications, which they display before triggering Firefox's internal permission mechanism. For example:

Setting Firefox to ignore permission requests from all sites will not block those overlays. You would need to use a content filter like an ad blocker for that. Or don't use annoying sites. ;-)
