Hi - I am using Firefox ESR 52.4.0 (64-bit) on CentOS 7.4.1708, Version 3.10.0-693.5.2.el7.x86_64 with an AMD Phenom II processor with 6 cores. I installed the latest Web-of-Trust add-on from the Firefox add-on site, but the reputation icons (green, yellow, red) are all grayed out. I have tried the suggested fix (create new Firefox profile with a fresh install of WOT) and get the same result. Everything else on Firefox works great. I really like Firefox, but I need some help with browsing the web and WOT seemed to fit the bill. Can this be fixed or should I remove WOT (since it doesn't work)? But what do I use in it's place? Any guidance and help is appreciated. Thanks.

HI ffdgs:

  1. Just tried Web of Trust on Mac OS X 10.11.6. Firefox 57. Works great, cannot reproduce your problem.
  2. I'll try on Ubuntu 16.04 next.
  3. Maybe try it on Firefox 56 or 57 instead of Firefox 52 (you were using it on 52 right?)

Hi again ffdgs:

  1. Tried weboftrust add-on, on ubuntu 16.04 GPD Pocket, Firefox Nightly 59 for Ubuntu and Firefox 56 and both worked fine displaying the green circles, etc
  2. I would suggest filing an issue on the Centos support forums?

Cheers again, Roland

Hi Roland,

Thank you for your kind reply. Firefox ESR 52 is supplied with the CentOS operating system, and I have been using the Firefox version thus supplied, with updates, since I started using CentOS about 5 years ago. I have had no problems with WOT until a couple of months ago when then the reputation icons started being grayed out.

I will try your suggestions and let you know how it turns out.

Best regards.

DGS.
