As a result of installing Trusteer on the recommendation of RBS, my computer ceased to function and the only option was to do a factory reset. Although I backed up everything on to discs, I now find that I can't un-zip the data on the discs, so am unable to recover my password for Thunderbird. I know that I have some very important emails to read. What can I do?

Chosen solution

Thunderbird has no password. Your email account with your email provider does and they administer it. Contact them for forgotten passwords.
