Twitter messsages still appear in search results after removing the account

I was using twitter in thunderbird (to get my twitter timeline). However I decided to remove it, but now messages from twitter still appear in the search results. I expect to find only my emails, no messages from this removed account. How can I remove this search results?

I should point out that removing the account does not remove the stored transcripts of the conversations that occurred there.
