ESR 52 Updates to Wrong Version 60
Hello, Yesterday Firefox 52 ESR has updated automatically to version 60 ESR. Version 60 does not support Java.
All official Portuguese government Customs and Export websites user java based forms. All updated versions have stopped working with those websites.
If I go to the ESR webpage and try to download the 52 version, the link automatically downloads the v60.
Help is appreciated.
Best Regards

The legacy Firefox 52.9.0 ESR is End Of Life or EOL now as of Sept 5th which is why it is not being served on https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/organizations/
The Firefox 52 section on page should be removed.
You could just use IE to use the vulnerable Java 8 Plugin from Oracle. Even Oracle is in process of depreciation their NPAPI Java Plugin as Java 9 does not have it.

Oracle recommends that sites currently using Java applets consider switching to plugin-free solutions such as Java Web Start.
However if you really want to use Firefox 52.9.0esr which will get no more updates for security and allowed stability fixes then see http://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/52.9.0esr/win32/ and pick your locale.
You need 32-bit as Win64 only allowed the Flash Player and Silverlight Plugins to run.

Hi, ESR 52 is no longer supported and has gone to end of life as of the 60.0.2 release yesterday.
Firefox and Chrome have both removed support for Java, and this was advertised several years ago, so companies and governments have had plenty of time to move away from it:
https://blog.mozilla.org/futurereleases/2015/10/08/npapi-plugins-in-firefox/ https://www.java.com/en/download/faq/chrome.xml
If you really need to get old releases, you can go to http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/, however they will not get security updates and fixes, so using them is not recommended.
