Long press to open in new tab has stopped working
I used to be able to open a link into a new tab on my phone by long pressing on it to get the context menu and then selecting Open in New Tab. Your Support docs even says this is how it's done. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/using-tabs-firefox-android#w_open-a-link-in-a-new-tab
What has started happening recently though is that it instead selected the link texts and the context menu now only gives me the options to Copy, Share, Select All, and Search.
How do I open a link in a new tab now?
Chosen solution
Ah, I think I've figured out the issue. Before, I would long press on a link and it would only show the context menu. Now what's happening is when I long press, it does select the text but if I hold the press for half a second longer, the context menu then appears. The text getting selected was throwing me off and I was stopping the press as soon as I saw it.

Hi,
Make sure you do long press on a link. From what you say your menu options are it sounds to me like you are doing a long press on a word on website which is not a link.
If you just press on the link (normal, not long), does it open some website?
