Your browser is being managed by your organization. I am the only one who has access so who else has access to my account or who else is managing the account?

Did you click this link?

Probably it's forced by your AV software. Open regedit.exe and check if the following registry keys exist:

  • HKCU\Software\Policies\Mozilla\Firefox\
  • HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Mozilla\Firefox\

I don't see it there.

Go to your installation folder (where firefox.exe is located) and check, if you have there distribution folder.

PS. You still didn't click the link.

I have found the answer. removed registry entry placed by AVG antivirus using below method:

1. Open the registry editor

2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies

3. Select and delete “Mozilla” parent key present below Microsoft on the left side 3. Restart Firefox browser and visit Settings, you’ll no longer see the message.

I understand that it is Avast/AVG causing this problem. I have Avast free on my laptop. If I remove it, will Windows Defender be sufficient to protect my browser? I also scan with Spybot once a week.
