I took the new update at the beginning of the week. Every since, I have to login to Firefox on a daily basis as one would usually do when installing for the first time. Not only do I need to login daily, then sync daily, I have to login to all my saved bookmarks daily as well, even though the passwords are saved. Although seemingly a minor inconvenience, it takes time out of my day. I have been a firefox user for many years. I'm not a fan of other browsers. I don't want to switch, but I would not be able to tolerate this on a daily basis going forward.

Note: Some software, like Advanced SystemCare with Surfing Protection, can protect files in the Firefox profile folder against changes. If you have such software then check the settings or uninstall this software.

This can happen if Firefox isn't installed properly and you run Firefox from within the DMG file. Running Firefox that way looks like a new installation and that makes Firefox create a new profile. You may also have multiple profiles that you may want to cleanup, see the about:profiles page.

Make sure Firefox gets installed properly.

Open the Firefox Disk Image file and drag the Firefox application to the Applications folder on your hard drive. You shouldn't double-click the Firefox application to run it from the Disk Image, but instead drag it out of the DMG folder.
