Hello all,

I have had an issue with all dropdown menus not displaying correctly in web pages for a few days.

All dropdown menus looks empty: I am able to open dropdown menus and the containers have the right size (corresponding to the number of menu items that are supposed to be displayed in the dropdowns), but the menu items themselves are not displayed.

I tried disabling all add-ons and refreshing Firefox, but to no avail.

Thanks!

If something that was working before, suddenly fails to work, you may have a file that has become corrupted.

Try the following, in order:

  1. Restart your browser, or
  2. Restart your device, or
  3. Uninstall/Reinstall Firefox.

Usually one of these options will solve most small problems with computer systems.

Location of the cache/cache2 folder; Windows: *C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile>\ Mac: ~/Library/Caches/Firefox/Profiles/ Linux: ~/.cache/mozilla/firefox/

Close Firefox. Open your file browser to the above, and remove the folder.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Thank you to both of you!

Starting Firefox in safe mode didn't work - the whole browser went black, but deleting the cache and restarting my computer seemed to have solve the issue.
