When I close Firefox and go back in to it, I am presented with a new Home Tab now. This is very bad experience for me. What a productivity killer. I want to go back to my last active tab.

Need a “Startup Tab” option for “Where I left off” or “Specific URL” or “New Home Tab”.

This is horrible. Trying to remember not to close Firefox now, but I am careful… quite addicted… to always closing Apps since Apple lies about battery consumption, and I don’t want “background” apps spying on me in anyway.

Chosen solution

Go to Settings > About Firefox > Tap 5 Times > Debug: Toggle Start at Home: ON

I found the above workaround in another thread, works flawlessly.

Was so annoying, I ended up with 25+open tabs before I realized they opened automatically every time I launched Firefox in ios.

I fear the same problem. I read What's new for version 37, and I'm discouraged to update because of the Start on home page new feature. One of the great features is to be able to start a session right where i left last time; this helps me to be more productive, not to be distracted. Perhaps i did not understand it, and don't know if it can be turned off, but it is above me why version 37 seems to force the user to start over every couple of hours. Can this be disabled in settings? I really don't like it. Firefox is a great browser, and my choice for many years, but i would greatly like to continue having control over my browsing habits. Thanks Firefox Team

I agree, it’s annoying, and there doesn’t seem to be a way to disable it. Who are these people getting “distracted by their open tabs” anyways? There’s reason I left them open. I want to go back to then.

The new Home button on the toolbar where the reload/stop button used to be is also unwelcome (the reload/stop button has been moved up top, squeezing out the URL). Previously if I wanted to go to the home page — my home page is just the Firefox home with all the shortcuts on it — I would just open a new tab, and there is already a button for that.

I tried to find a way to disable it, but I had no luck doing so.

I also dislike the swap of the refresh button with the home button. I use refresh far more often than the home button.

I use Firefox on my PC at home and work, even though some co-workers harass me. The refresh button is tolerable, but I am getting really tired of the browser opening a new page in a new tab and requiring a few steps to get back to the tab I want. I wonder if the Firefox team is going to respond. Would it be that hard to add a setting to disable this "feature"?
