Spam Guidelines
I will be publishing a book in September of 2022 and will start to advance promote it in January. I have an e-mail list of 600 or so people, broken up into 11 groups of between 30 and 90 members.
Periodically, I'll want to send out updates to the people in my e-mail list. On my last book (this was before I was using Thunderbird), I wasn't able to send out a single mailing to my 600 peeps, because I would get flagged for spamming. So I broke my list up into the above-mentioned groups and was able to contact about 450 of the people on my list in one day, and the remaining 150 the next.
Does Thunderbird have limits as to the number of people I can send group e-mails to in one day and, if so, what is that limit? I'm not a spammer, just an obscure author trying to create a sense of community around his books. Please advise.

TB has no limit to the number of contacts in a mailing list. The limit is imposed by the mail provider, and might be set for hourly as well as daily periods. Startmail has a limit, but they don't say what it is.
