I'm trying to move to Firefox from Microsoft Edge on Linux. When I go to import data from another browser Edge is not an option. I have a CSV file that I exported from Edge. How can I import this CSV file? I found something on reddit that said to change security.allow_eval_in_parent_process to true, but that no longer works. How can I get my passwords imported without having to install another browser and import to that and then import to firefox?

Chosen solution

No need to use a workaround like modifying a security pref.

You need to enable import CSV in the Password Manager (about:logins) via the about:config page as this menu item is currently hidden for performance reasons.

You need to close and restart Firefox to make the Import menu item appear.

In case of issues with importing the CSV file, check the header line and make sure you have at least the "url" and "username" and "password" columns as those are mandatory.
