Thunderbird menu item for Microsoft OAuth authentication

more options

I am trying to follow the directions in this article: [[Microsoft OAuth Authentication and Thunderbird in 2024|https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/microsoft-oauth-authentication-and-thunderbird-202]]

In the sending messages section, Step 4 says: "Select Authentication method: OAuth2 (instead of Normal password)" However, there is no drop-down item called "OAuth2". This menu item was present for the incoming mail authentication, but not in the outgoing.

In short, a menu item in the directions is missing. My Thunderbird is up-to-date.

Thanks, Kevin
