Since the Firefox 135.0 update loaded during the second week of February 2025, only the first tab displays short-cut tile rows ~ but thereafter all tabs are blank now.

What is going on?

Chosen solution

From KyleF on Mozilla Connect regarding the space between the shortcut rows being too large, and the tile pane icons being too small:

Easy Solution: go to Firefox Settings, Privacy and Security, scroll to Firefox Data Collection and Use, UNCHECK "allow Firefox to install and run studies"

I had to go to Settings, then to Home in order to change New tabs to Firefox Home (Default) with shortcut tile rows ~ as it had somehow been changed to Blank Page.

Once I had reset it to Firefox Home (Default) ~ it reverted back to Blank Page one more time, but thankfully has not changed since I reset it the second time.

Another thing that is a bother, is that since the update the shortcut tile rows have too much space between them ~ so now have to scroll down to get to them. The tile panes are now too small also ~ and increasing the page magnification to solve that just makes it an inefficient space waste.

If anybody knows how to sort out the additional row spacing problem, and the tile sizing ~ the solutions would be very much appreciated, or if I find out how to solve these problems ~ I will post hereafter.

All this is on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS Noble Numbat, by the way.
