Firefox directs certain web pages to mywebsearch. Please help.

When using Firefox 3.6.8 on my Mac I have problems being redirected to a mywebserch page. It usually happens when I try to click a link. It does not happen on all sites, but it does on many of them.

I have tried deleting Firefox completely then reinstalling it, but to no avail.

Any advice would be great. Thanks.
