Firefox is refusing to allow me to download Adobe Flash Player so it is stopping me playing Farmville on Facebook. how do I solve this problem.

I downloaded Adobe Flash Player as Firefox was not allowing me to play Farmville on Facebook3.6.10, but Adobe said that it couldn't load until all the conflicting programs were closed. so I closed Firefox and Adobe disappeared off my screen as well, the operating system I am using is Windows 7 Home Premium
