while browsing I received a notice( appeared to be from firefox) about malware, seemed to run a scan, listed several virus's, then a prompt to download protection. This reminds me of scams I've seen in the past. Do you know anything about this website?http://slosansky.cz.cc

Sounds very suspicious. I don't think I'll click through to that site, thank you anyway.
You may want to run some supplemental scans. These two tools are highly regarded:
Malwarebytes Anti-malware : http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free
SUPERAntiSpyware : http://www.superantispyware.com/
the notice claims that mozilla firefox security has found several virus attacks, and recommends adding this security. then prompts me to download a binary file, while it shows me a list of the virus's found
Don't believe it.
(Sorry, that wasn't clear. You should not believe this fake AV come-on. It almost certainly will damage your system if you install that software.)

This is probably an attack site. Do not open any file they send you to. The cz extension signifies it could be from chechia. This kind of messages usually come from an accomplice website. Better follow Jasher2000's instructions.
THanks, I do get that, and I never download anything I am not sure of, or I didn't order. I am running scans now, I just found it very interesting that it started with the" mozilla security is running scans", then" firefox security has found" followed by the prompt to download. I just upgraded firefox, wondered if it came in with it. The site I was browsing is a manufacturing website, research for the business I work for. and My other protection hasn't caught anything, and I don't get any of this in IE right now. just came out of the blue. I'll let you know what I find, if anything. I appreciate the links too. Thanks again.
