When I open a new browser tab, FF will display "Recently Visited" tabs in the screen. I don't want the "Recently Visited" tabs show up here. Is there a way to delete them in a new browser tab?

  1. In the location bar at the top, type: about:config and hit Enter.

  2. In the filter at the top in the next menu, copy/paste the following: browser.sessionstore.max_tabs_undo

  3. Double click it and change the figure "10" into "0"

Do you have the Google Toolbar extension installed?
That is a feature of the GTB.

On the Google Toolbar, click the "wrench" icon on the right-side, to the left of Sign In. Then click on Options. On the Search tab, under Web-browsing tools, de-select Enable Google new tab page.
