Is it possible for Firefox to stop telling me to update to the latest version when Firefox 4 and FF5 are unsuitable for Apple acs using PPC chips. They still work, why discard a usable piece of kit?

I am still using Apple Macs with PPC not Intel chips. They may not be the most modern but they suit me well. Most frustrating to try and upgrade to FF4 or FF5 and then that FF haas failede. Then to downgrade to an earlier version is time-consuming. If MS can still support XP [now two OS systems out of date] surely Mozilla, community focussed etc, can support older Macs.

For older Macs that aren't supported in Firefox 4.0 & 5.0, try the Mac community build TenFourFox for PowerPC's running Mac 10.4.11 & 10.5.8 .
