How do I specify a website to access when a new tab is created?

I've just installed Firefox 6.0.2, and in previous versions when a new tab was opened, it opened to my homepage. When this version opens its FIRST tab, it does indeed go to the proper homepage. BUT, when all subsequent new tabs are opened, the homepage is ignored and instead these tabs open a Yahoo search engine page.

Chosen solution

A new tab opens by default as a blank tab (about:blank).

If that isn't the case then an extension has changed that behavior.

You can look at this extension to set which page to open in a new tab:

Thanks so much for the tips. I'm not sure what changed from when a new tab was opened in earlier Firefox versions, but this extension solves the problem. Thanks again!
