I've had this problem for about 2 months now. Give or take a few weeks. My Firefox Build 7.0.1 will not hold a constant internet connection. I will rule out possible stuff.

Internet connection to my PC is constant with a 30 MB/s connection.

Does not happen on any other browser (Chrome IE Safari)

It is not an addon, Did a fresh install.

Now, I launch the browser and it works fine for about 5 mins, Then it will loose connection. No error or anything, FF just won't load any pages. Thus I restart the browser and works for another 5 mins or so.

Chosen solution

The default of the pref network.http.max-connections has been increased from 30 to 256 in Firefox 6+ versions.

Try to decrease the value of the pref network.http.max-connections from 256 to 30 as used in Firefox 3 versions.

What anti-virus/firewall do you have installed - it could be that affecting it.

I am using ESET Nod32 Smart security 4. I've had this same Anti-virus/firewall for years.
