Every time I start firefox no matter what version, the program either asks to reinstall every addon installed, or tells me they're incompatible.

The question says it all. EVERY single time I open Firefox, Firefox tells me that all my addons are either incompatible with this version or it asks me to reinstall them or both. It has happened to every version of Firefox I've tried. I will install Firefox, then install the addons with no problems. Then on the next reboot of my computer, open firefox, I get messages either asking me to reinstall the addons or that they are now incompatible.

Chosen solution

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

See "Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile":

If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

Switching back and forth between different versions of Firefox triggers the compatibility check for Add-ons. If you want to use different versions of Firefox, you should have a separate Profile for each version and include the Profile name in the shortcut for each version.
