Firefox was working yesterday until late in the afternoon and then today I am unable to open it all. How can I get it working again without losing all my bookmarks?

Thank you very much for your reply. I removed firefox as you suggested and then reinstalled it and happily have still got all my bookmarks. I am most grateful to you.

Have you used add/remove program from control panel? When removing firefox it ask you if you want to keep your data....select yes remove firefox and then reinstall firefox. I have used this many times and never lost any bookmarks or add ons.
