Check and tell if its working.
no it isn't working...
please help !
Try to install from the add-on's homepage:
Check and tell if its working.
i'm doing the same...but same error pops up again and again...i've no clue what's going on.
-> Clear Cookies & Cache
-> Start Firefox in Safe Mode
When you are in Safe Mode, now try to install the add-on from both the links:
- http://browserbackgrounds.com/bbext_extension.php
Check and tell if its working.
this time it downloaded completely...but same error was shown afterwards...
Take time and try to perform the suggestions mentioned in the following articles:
- Unable to install add-ons (extensions or themes)
Check and tell if it working.
i've already read and followed that guide...i read them again as u said..
but,i'm still facing that problem.
Also, does that helps to inform that it was working nicely....i removed it by a mistake... now,i can't even install it..
also,i can't see any extension.rdf and extensions.cache files in the folder of firefox.... i noticed that browser backgrounds folder is still there with all pictures that i used to have...
What may be the problem...?? Please guide me...i've been using this add-on for a long time now !!
That can happen if there is a failure to verify the file via a checksum.
You may have a firewall or anti-virus software that inspect the file and repacks it.
You can try to save the file and install it locally via File > Open File.
I'm running linux...i've no anti-virus software software installed.
Please elaborate what you are trying to say!
-> go to the add-on's download page
A work around is right-click Add to Firefox link -> click Save Link As... -> Save the file on your computer (it will save as .xpi file)
- when the file has been Downloaded, click Firefox button -> go to New Tab and click Open File...
- select the saved .xpi file of your add-on and hit Enter key
Now it should be installed. Check and tell if its working.
my problem is solved...i don't know how,but i tried once more this morning and it was installed successfully!
Thank you all for ur suggestions...^_^
