I upgraded to Firefox 10, and the Bookmarks button is now all the way over to the right. I hate it there! It was better when it was centered on the toolbar--a tiny scroll upwards and I was there. Now I've got to scroll way over to the right to click on it. Is there any way to move that button/icon towards the center?

Chosen solution

That Bookmarks Menu button shows by default on the Bookmarks Toolbar if that bar is visible.
If that is the case then you can't move that button to a position other then the far left side of that bar.
If the Bookmarks Toolbar is hidden then the Bookmarks Menu button is displayed on the right side of the Navigation Toolbar and in that case you can move the button to other position on a toolbar.

Drag it to wherever you want; within reason; after right clicking on an empty space and selecting customise.

Note there are two types of bookmark button available, one opens the library, the other opens a sidebar/dropdown, and also note that if you put it between the location bar and search bar that may result in the spacing being fixed, so that you are then unable to drag to expand the search or location bar.

Should check before posting, see Cor-el's post under.
