How do I allow pictures in my email to be sent to others?

I get pictures with/in my email and when I send/forward this email to other people in my address book they almost never get the pictures. Why don't they get the pictures? Is there a setting that is not checked? How do I set my emails so other people get my pictures? The pictures come imbedded in the email or they might come as an attachment. Either way, people do not get my pictures.

I use hotmail/live for my email address. I also have Windows 8.

Did you try to send a message to yourself as a test?

Did you check the settings in your security software to make sure that the attachments aren't blocked?

Thanks for your quick reply. Yes I sent myself a message with the pictures and I got the pictures. I sent a message with the pictures to my husband who has a Yahoo email address and one to my son who has an AOL address and they did not get the pictures.

I also checked my security settings and everything seems to be correct.
