When I open a new tab it is cluttered with all of the prior web pages that I recently visited. There should be a simple way to disable this feature such as a menu item.

Click the 3x3 grid button in the upper right-corner of the New Tab page.

There's a tooltip on hover over that button that says - Hide the new tab page.

I do not have a 3x3 grid button at the top right hand corner of new page, nor anywhere else
