I have the extension surf canyon. I did not instal it. It is not in my firefox extensions or in my windows programs. It interferes with my browsing and slows down my pc. how do I get rid of it?

This browser hijacker is also bundled within the custom installer on many download sites (examples: CNET, Brothersoft or Softonic), so if you have downloaded a software from these websites, chances are that Fast Search by Surf Canyon was installed during the software setup process."
