I used Firefox to download the current security updates for Internet Explorer, but then the screen said it was download from Internet Explorer. The downloads were down through and Xfinity email link. How do I keep Firefox separate from Internet Explorer?

My browser is Windows 7. According to your educated guesses my Firefox version is 25.0

These are the plug-ins.

  • Google Update
  • 5.1.30214.0
  • Adobe PDF Plug-In For Firefox and Netscape 10.1.9
  • The plugin allows you to have a better experience with Microsoft SharePoint
  • A component of your photo software powered by RocketLife
  • NPWLPG

Thanks!

Microsoft has it set up so that only Windows Internet Explorer can do updates from Microsoft.
