Firefox crashes
Firefox keeps crashing at startup, even after reinstalling. It used to work, I think it started crashing after the latest Microsoft Windows update.

What Firefox are you using on Windows 8 ?
The crash report flagged these programs;
mswsock.dll = Microsoft
combase.dll = Microsoft
ntdll.dll = Microsoft
IPSEng32.dll = Symantec Intrusion Detection
IPSLdr32.dll = Symantec Intrusion Detection

See if there are updates for your graphics drive drivers https://support.mozilla.org/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration
Download the full installer for you current Norton program(s) and save it..
Download and run the Norton Removal Tool to uninstall your Norton product
After, run the installer
You can try to disable OMTC and leave hardware acceleration in Firefox enabled.
- about:config page: layers.offmainthreadcomposition.enabled = false
You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.
