new firefox install won't let me use 6 character pw like I use on all other computers I use. How do I make my new Firefox install work with a 6 character passw
I just set up an HP laptop - just one of 13 - I own. All of them have Firefox on them and all of them use the same username and password. When I tried to set up Firefox on the new laptop Firefox is insistent on using an 8 character password which none of my other laptops use - ALL of the others have the same username and 6 character password. I need my newly installed Firefox to allow me to use that same 6 character password. How do I make it happen? WIN 7 home premium
This request is being submitted from another laptop, using a 6 character password, because I am unable to complete the Firefox installation "requiring" and 8 character password. The thought of having to change my password info on my other 21 computers that I am unwilling to consider especially since the 6 character password is working on all of my other computers and has been for years.

The Firefox installation procedure doesn't require a "password" to be setup. Is that for a "Master Password"? Or a password for the Sync service? Or what?
