When was the last time you Compacted?
Even when I compact, it doesn't change the # of total emails.
I may really have 100 in the inbox, 30 in the sent box, & 3 in the draft folder, but it still says I have a total of close to 3000.
Who is your provider?
What do your folders look like when you look at them at the providers webmail page?
My provider is Shaw. When I open up the provider's webmail page, I DO have emails that are not yet deleted, but certainly not 3000 (not even close).
Just to be clear, is this an IMAP or POP mail account ?
I think it's a POP acct. U can answer me assuming it is POP.
And once again, I have compacted, but it doesn't change any #'s. Even when I delete emails, the total remains the same for each mail folder.
Thank u
in the folder pane you have the heading Name and at the end of the pane line there is a little grid widget. CLick it and select total and size as well as the default unread.
What folder are the 3000 mails appearing in, now you have a total per folder.? My guess is deleted or Junk
