I can't get the home page set to the Firefox start page, I have tried all of the solutions suggested but it still opens up with AOL home page for firefox

Firefox was hanging up and running slow so I did a refresh. Now I can't get the Firefox start page to reset as the home page, instead an AOL home page opens. I have tried to reset default but it is only the aol for firefox URL that appears. Then I check the target in the shortcut, it only says Firefox.exe. I can't even find the start page so I could use the Set as current page option. Please help.

You can check the home page setting

  • Tools > Options > General > Startup: Home page

Firefox supports multiple home pages separated by '|' (pipe) symbols.
