When I try to open a local HTML file on my machine, if Firefox is running, nothing happens [even with Firefox set as my default browser]. The only ways I have found that the file(s) will open is if either: a) Firefox is not running, or b) I navigate to its location using [Alt-->] File --> Open File.

I am currently learning PHP with a course on Lynda.com (http://www.lynda.com/MySQL-tutorials/PHP-MySQL-Essential-Training/119003-2.html). I am following along with the tutorial on a Windows 7 machine, using the latest versions of WAMP server(x64), Firefox and Notepad++. Is there a way configure my setup so that the files open in Windows explorer, as I would expect? Considering that I will need to make continual revisions to .htm(l) and .php files, I would like to be able to open them as seamlessly as possible. Thanks in Advance.
