Message filters not working

more options

Hello,

Today I downloaded Thunderbird 45.1.1. I wanted to create a simple filter so that all my messages from family and friends would go to a certain folder.

I created a filter and told it to match "from...is...(email address)" I added all the pertinent emails that I want to filter. I told it to "move message to...(specific folder)".

I click "run now" and no messages in my inbox filter. I select the messages that should be filtered, and click "run filters on selected messages" and nothing happens. There are no errors, popups, messages, anything...

How do I fix this?

Thanks, Kara

I solved this problem by clicking "match any of the following" and changing each rule to "from, to, cc or bcc" instead of just "from".
