It does not look good but let's check what you have done.

Is the old hard disk drive actual in working order, will it run in another computer or if connected to a suitable adaptor and power supply ? What was the reason for replacing it ?

How important are the bookmarks, and how come you have no backup if they are important. Did you have any backups at all of that original hard disk drive or parts of it ?
