First, let's assume you're not in the midst of a private browsing session, because then you won't be able to get those tabs back after you start Firefox again.

The cleanest way to exit Firefox is to use the menu. Either:

  • "3-bar" menu button > "power" button
  • (menu bar) File > Exit
If you do not usually display the classic menu bar, you can activate it temporarily by tapping either the Alt key or the F10 function key

When you start Firefox -- of if the Flash installer pops up a page in Firefox -- remember to check the History menu, Restore Previous Session, if you want to pick up where you left off and Firefox didn't do it automatically.

Does that work?
