I am getting a message from firefox saying the sight will not open. I am trying to open my yahoo.mail this is the first time .was not doing this earlier today

Do you use a bookmark or are you starting with the main (home) page of this website?
If you use a bookmark then navigate to the web page starting with the main page or the sign in page in case there is a problem with this bookmark.
This issue can be caused by corrupted cookies or cookies that are blocked.
- check the permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab in "Tools -> Page Info -> Permissions"

Clear the cache and remove the cookies from websites that cause problems via the "3-bar" Firefox menu button (Options/Preferences).
"Clear the cache":
- Firefox/Options/Preferences -> Advanced -> Network -> Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove the cookies" from websites that cause problems.
- Firefox/Options/Preferences -> Privacy -> "Use custom settings for history" -> Cookies: "Show Cookies"
You can try to set this pref to false on the about:config page. network.cookie.leave-secure-alone = false
You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.
