In US worked, in Thailand, error: The server responded: This system has been configured to reject any connection from 110.77.148.240
This was setup for a Sales Rep going to Thailand. The client worked fine with the POP account in the us. Once he was in Thailand, he gets this full error:
An error occurred while sending mail: Outgoing server (SMTP) error. The server responded: This system has been configured to reject any connection from 110.77.148.240
Is this a Thunderbird settings error that needs changed based on his location? Or is this something that needs addressed at the Company he works for?
Many thanks,
Frank

He is trying to send mail through a US-based smtp server from a Thai network (110.77.148.240), and most local US providers will suspect this is a spammer. If the user doesn't have a Thai-based account which offers smtp access, one option is to use a gmail or outlook or similar account, and add the POP account to that service as an 'allowed' address which can send through the gmail or outlook smtp server. So, the process would be a) create a gmail/outlook account, b) add the POP address to the created account, c) add the created account to TB, d) specify the created account's smtp server in the POP account's Outgoing Server (SMTP) in Tools/Account Settings (select the POP account in the left pane, change the server in the right pane).
If that's too complex, perhaps he can send and receive with the account via webmail - although that may still disallow access from outside the US.
