Firefox recently installed an update to 56.0.1. Since then, I get many many popup windows asking me to enter my username and password for Xmarks. I suspected some malware, but this has now happened on two different computers.

How can I eliminate these? I like Xmarks, but this behavior is intolerable. Plus, I lost all my (>300) open tabs.

But also : Have you seen the reviews  ? Maybe you'd consider saying 'Goodbye' to Xmarks, even though you say you like it, and give Firefox Sync a shot instead  ?
