I have 6 different email accounts, is there a way to display only unopened emails and then open them in order without having to change which email account is open

right click the mail toolbar at the top of the windows and ensure the folder pane toolbar is selected for display.

Use the folder pane toolbar to select the unified inbox then, applications menu > view > threads > unread. (this action can be placed on the toolbar from the right click toolbar > customize menu.)
