When creating a new event in the Thunderbird Calendar, I miss the possibility to color the events according to their category, all within the same calendar. Is it possible? This should help me to manage my agenda, and will help other former Outlook users to migrate to Thunderbird. Thanks.

Use "Categories". You can assign a different colour to each category

Thanks! Your solution gets a right-hand color band. But I meant coloring the whole event box (if possible). Anyway, thank you very much for your answer!
