What is the error message or specific issue you are having with updating Firefox? Try updating again. There's a new Firefox 67.0.4 that has just been released. If the internal updater doesn't work, try the full download. See Update Firefox to the latest release for more information.

I see that you are running the new macOS 10.15 Catalina Preview release, which is a "Beta" release. There is a forum at https://forums.developer.apple.com/community/beta/macos-1015-beta where this was just posted: https://forums.developer.apple.com/thread/118529 Firefox Software Update can't be opened (quote)

I had the same issue until yesterday. Firefox came out with a new update version 67.0.4 which now opens for me. I had to Trash Firefox from the Applications Folder then download and install the new version 67.0.4 from Mozilla. You will have to select the "Open Anyway" button in the Security & Privacy/ General pane of System Preferences.

Does that help?

Solution: (from Apple Developer website as linked above)

- Open Terminal - copy and paste the following line: sudo spctl --master-disable

-hit enter - Enter your password - Hit enter

Then Open FIREFOX from the Applications folder in Finder

To reinstate GateKeeper (the thing that was blocking it from opening) Close terminal and reopen Terminal from fresh

enter: sudo spctl --master-enable Enter password

Firefox will still open in future

See https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/68.0.1/releasenotes/ macOS releases are now signed by the Apple notary service, allowing Firefox to properly run on macOS 10.15 Beta releases

You can download the full installer, if needed, here: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/
