Hello TIM,
You're probably referring to so-called 'snippets' - if you don't want to see those, just follow the instructions on this page :
https://www.askvg.com/tip-how-to-disable-ads-on-new-tab-page-in-mozilla-firefox/
The screenshot that you posted here :
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1279457
Shows that you're on the "General" panel instead of the "Home" panel.
what will the home panel show me here it is ?

This screenshot shows that you're still on the "General" panel ......
On the left side, right under "General", click on "Home" .
Then scroll down to "Snippets" and uncheck te box.
(and maybe read the "askvg" article again ?)
Endret
what will the home panel show me here it is i clicked the home button?

You clicked the Home button that opens (in your case) the New Tab
page ....
What you need to do (to disable "Snippets") :
Go to the 3-bar menu => Options, and then (like I mentioned before) click on "Home" (under "General") on the left side.
Would you please read what I have written before - I don't know how else to explain (sorry ... ).
